Eileen Hicks made her comedic debut and did not disappoint. Eileen is known for bringing tears to people’s eyes. Her way of engaging conversations with humour and love is a character trait she was born with. Born on a small island called Ramea off the coast of Newfoundland, Eileen grew up with a unique sense of tradition and experiences that she likes to share with friends and family. Moving to St. John’s in her youth introduced this small island girl to big city life. Her fashion sense consisted of hand me downs she wore with pride, but sometimes reflected a masculine trend. Eileen loves the perfect fitting suit and she will share that story with you tonight in memory of her brother Sydney Kendall. Eileen cares about her family and loves to see joy in everyone she meets. She said one time to her daughter Sandra, “it would be a dream of mine to do stand up comedy,” and tonight Eileens dream came true.

At 9:30ish it was show time! A Sandra show! We showcased Art from designers in the region to style to present to a one night only fashion showcase! That’s our idea of a party!! These designers are all independent artists from different fashion genres. I have my work cut out for me tonight and I love it.  We don’t follow a lot fashion rules (not sure we know what they are even, funny…considering we’ve been in fashion since 2003! We just do what we love) and we love having freedom to style the way we want. With close to 70 outfits. it was a magical evening.

See you at the next show!
