Ven Amsterdam

Last month saw the opening of a new hotel designed by Karim Rashid in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Ven Amsterdam is a unique hotel experience where work meets play, creativity meets business, wonder meets curiosity, and dreams meet lift-off. Ven is comprised of 2 hotels, 7 restaurants, 19 meeting rooms, casino, and a large event space. Inside its curved walls, Ven houses a 476 room flagship convention hotel, The Park Inn by Radisson Group.

Regarding the design process behind Ven, Karim says, “Color evokes warmth and sensuality in my designs, and is an integral element in Ven Hotel. In Ven, colors create form, sensation, and enhance public memory. Inspired by my belief that the contemporary, physical world can be warm, soft, human, and pleasurable, Ven encapsulates a radiant spectrum of experiences for guests to enjoy.”
