Now in our 16th year of fashion theatre production, our team continues to take a forward-thinking approach to the fashion society, introducing yet again ways to best showcase artists by merging national and local designers, musicians and the body.  Artists, sculptors, dancers and musicians have always been key players in the celebration of any Pie production. We serve as the connection linking these communities together to best represent the culture of the Canadian fashion arts industry right here on this stage.

We are grateful for your sponsorship, attendance and contribution to make The Gather event possible in support of the Pie Media Group restyle campaign at The Women and Children’s Shelter of Barrie and a support staff loft re-style at the Seasons Centre for Grieving children.

Eon Sinclair – The Soul Proprietor

He’s coming to play awesome music for us! With his band Bedouin Soundclash, he has released four records and toured the globe extensively, headlining shows in Europe, Australia, China, India and the US, as well as performing alongside acts such as No Doubt, Coldplay, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and Nine Inch Nails. The tale of Bedouin Soundclash has been filled with step after step of something special — from live shows that are as emotionally incendiary as they are monstrously entertaining, to albums that have stoked the hearts and minds of thousands.

B. Knox

Photography_Scott Cooper

If you ask Barry whether he dreams of becoming the next big thing in music, you may be surprised to learn that the honest answer is a resounding ‘no’! Although talented, passionate and taking the bold steps needed to pursue a career in the industry, Hunnako’s philosophy is that it’s less about himself and more about the music, the art and the act of creating. If the fact that Barry, who performs under the stage moniker B. Knox, doesn’t want to be a famous musician doesn’t surprise you, the fact that Barry is Canadian just may. The humble Hunnako can often be found performing his mix of soulful, bluesy tunes from his debut album at local restaurants, cafes and smaller concert venues in Barrie, Ontario, the city he currently calls home-base. Deeply rooted in alternative country, his debut album, ’Heartbreak & Landscape’, is a meandering storytelling of love, forbidden love, heartbreak and loss. With love, as well as landscapes, being the central focus and continuing source of inspiration for B. Knox, the first single, “Deep Dark Love”, offers listeners a melodic exploration of the ups and downs and the ins and outs of a love that just can’t be. Explore the song yourself, as well as the rest of B.Knox’s musical.

Cachet Supper Club

A place for connecting with community

“It’s not just a business transaction to us; it’s about creating a personal experience.” – Jenn McLachlan, Owner

Having spent most of her life in Newmarket, Jenn has always valued the small town feel here. Her first experience as a small business owner came at age 18 when she ran the local post office. She quickly learned the value of community entrepreneurship. But what really gets Jenn excited to come to work at Cachet every day is the people. “I love talking to people,” he says. “Working here, I get the opportunity to meet every type of person. Everyone is so different, and we all play our own role in making this crazy world go round.”

Of course, Jenn’s natural ability to people please compliments the atmosphere here. At Cachet, the tables are more than just a number. We take pride in knowing our guests by face and name, and finding some way of celebrating life with them.

Sylvia Parks specializes in that venerable cuisine…and is willing to share a few secrets. Going beyond catering and meal preparation, Indian born Sylvia, a director with Pampered Chef Canada, and Founder of Indian Plates, has carved out an innovative niche in the local food industry by offering clients the chance to learn vintage East Indian delicacies through interactive cooking classes. Ideal for in-home celebrations or office galas, her recipes are rooted in her Mother’s custom-made garam masala, an enticing medley of 12 herbs, part of every fresh curry dish she prepares and teaches.
