World-renowned Artist Anthony Ricciardi returns to Toronto with two unique exhibitions

Ricciardi’s new exhibits, DREAM SPACE and Hidden Treasures, will feature his latest collection, signature pieces and offer an immersive space with experiential art installations

TORONTO, ON – Internationally acclaimed, multidisciplinary contemporary artist Anthony Ricciardi announced today he will be showcasing his latest collections at two interactive exhibits in Toronto.  Set to open to the public in mid-April, both shows will feature Ricciardi’s signature masterpieces with one featuring an interactive space with experiential art installations meant to inspire visitors to pursue their dreams and spark their own creativity.

Famed for his imagination and skill, Ricciardi developed his own creative process for producing his vibrant and layered artwork – despite being clinically colour blind.  Ricciardi is known for his distinctive approach, which involves mixing colours and layering words and figures, often taken from pop culture and his life experiences. His emotion evoking pieces all convey his enthusiasm for life and thirst for creativity.

“It’s an exceptionally exciting time to exhibit in Toronto again,” says Ricciardi. “I’ve always experienced the best reactions and felt a vibrant energy from guests at my Toronto shows. It’s of the utmost importance to me that my artwork resonates with people and motivates them to chase their dreams.”

Ricciardi left his successful career in corporate finance to pursue his passion for art and storytellings.

“These two shows will evoke distinctly different experiences. My sincere hope is that everyone will find something that speaks to them and will ultimately stoke a fire within to explore their own aspirations.”

Anthony Ricciardi’s DREAM SPACE at Yorkdale Mall, open to the public on April 12, is a 2,500 square-foot immersive pop-up museum featuring Ricciardi’s original canvas work and sculpture series. The gallery acts as an entry point to a “secret and hidden” pop-up experience filled with 15 large-scale interactive installations and multi-sensory immersive spaces inspired by Ricciardi’s creations, including a pool of gold coins. DREAM SPACE visitors will also have the chance to take one of Ricciardi’s pieces home with prices starting at $100, up to $7,000. This exhibit at Yorkdale Mall (3401 Dufferin Street) will be open to the public until July 2019. Admission to the gallery is free with a $15 admission fee to access the pop-up art installation and immersive space (children under 5 are free).

Hidden Treasures at The Gallery at MINDSET (62 Cumberland Street) opens to the public in Yorkville on April 18 and will be a classic gallery exhibition showcasing Ricciardi’s latest artwork inspired by vintage imagery brought into a modern state. The series of artwork will be exclusive to Yorkville and feature recognizable pop culture icons on the bodies of army generals. Ricciardi chose this design to demonstrate that it takes “fight and commitment” to become successful and find your hidden treasure. Guests are able to visit by appointment only and artwork will be available for purchase starting from $4,500.
